Terms of service

Last updated: 24 September 2026

This is a translation for convenience. In case of conflict, the Italian version prevails.

1. Who we are and who the service is for

Tavoola (tavoola.menu) is a service of Emme-Effe Services di Lorenzo Mercurio Fedel, Via dello Stadio 7, 38042 Baselga di Piné (TN), Italia, VAT no. 02833120229 ("we"). Contact: tavoola.menu@gmail.com.

Tavoola is for businesses and professionals only. By signing up you declare that you are acting for purposes related to your trade, business or profession (for example running a bar or a restaurant), not as a consumer: consumer protection rules, including the 14-day right of withdrawal, therefore do not apply.

2. The service

Tavoola lets you create and publish digital menus reachable via QR code and order related print products (QR plaques, paper menus). It is offered in the Free, Pro and Atelier plans, with the features described on the pricing page at the time of purchase. Some features (automatic translation, suggested allergens, importing a menu from a photo) use artificial intelligence: their output is a suggestion to be checked, not guaranteed information.

3. Account and content

You are responsible for your account details and for everything you publish: dishes, prices, photos, texts and allergen information. Allergen information shown to guests is provided by you, even when you accepted it from an automatic suggestion: checking its accuracy under Regulation (EU) 1169/2011 remains your obligation as a food business. You warrant that you hold the rights to the images and texts you upload, and you allow us to host, reproduce and display them solely to provide the service. You may not use Tavoola for unlawful or misleading content or content that infringes third-party rights.

4. Plans, prices and payments

The Free plan is free. Pro is a monthly or yearly subscription paid in advance via Stripe, which renews automatically for the same period until you cancel it. You can cancel anytime from the Billing page: it stays active until the end of the period already paid, and partial periods are not refunded. The Atelier plan is activated after a direct agreement, on the terms agreed there. Prices are in euro. No VAT is charged on Tavoola's prices: the seller operates under the Italian flat-rate scheme (Article 1, paragraphs 54-89, Law 190/2014). Print orders are not collected by Tavoola and follow section 6. When you pay for a subscription we ask for your billing details (company name, address, VAT number and, for Italian businesses, SDI code or PEC) and send you an electronic invoice. If your subscription ends, the account returns to the Free plan: your content stays, but Pro features are disabled and you cannot add content beyond the Free limits.

5. Suspension

We may suspend or close, even without notice, accounts that violate the law or these terms, endanger the security of the service or fail to pay amounts due. If the violation is not serious we warn you first and give you a chance to fix it.

6. Print orders

Print products (printed menus, QR plates and cubes) are made to order with your content. They are produced, sold and invoiced by the partner print shop named in the order and on the invoice, not by Tavoola: through the service we pass on your order with the files to print, the billing details and the shipping address you give us. You pay nothing when you send the order: you receive the print shop's invoice and pay it by bank transfer to the details provided; production starts once the payment is recorded. The prices shown include shipping; VAT, where due, is the amount stated on the invoice. When you send the order we freeze an exact copy of your menu PDF: that copy is what gets printed even if you edit the menu afterwards, so check it before sending. Shipping is within the European Union only and delivery times are indicative. Print defects or shipping damage must be reported within 8 days of delivery by writing to tavoola.menu@gmail.com with a photo: the product is then reprinted or refunded. Mistakes in content you approved are not defects.

7. Limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is". We strive to keep it available and secure, but do not guarantee that it is free of interruptions or errors. We are not liable for indirect damages or loss of profit, nor for the content you publish. In any case our total liability is limited to the amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the event. These limitations do not apply in cases of wilful misconduct or gross negligence (Article 1229 of the Italian Civil Code).

8. Changes to terms and prices

We may change these terms, plan features and prices. Changes that affect you are notified by email at least 30 days before they apply; new prices apply from the next renewal. If you do not agree you can cancel your subscription before that date; continuing to use the service means you accept the new terms.

9. Cancellation and account deletion

You can delete your account anytime from Settings. Deletion removes your venue, menus, photos and statistics and disables the public menu and any printed QR codes; it cannot be undone. We only keep the data the law requires us to retain, such as billing records.

10. Personal data

How we process personal data is described in the privacy policy.

11. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by Italian law. The courts of Trento (Italy) have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
